The Bridal Shower

Sunday May 17th, the anniversary of our first date, we had our bridal shower

at the Great Escape in Schiller Park.

It was an absolutely perfect day. Our friends and family showered us with lots of love and very generous gifts. The whole experience was a bit overwhelming, but extremely fun. The room was beautifully decorated with lilacs.

We were served a delicious brunch with Katie's favorite, mimosa punch. The food was excellent, and was completed with a home-made (and decorated) cake by Cindy & Beth. It was a very special day for us. We would like to thank everyone for coming and thank everyone again for the wonderful & extremely generous gifts.

The afternoon was complete with shower games. Two of our favorites put both of us on the spot. Ben was given 20 questions to answer about himself privately, and later Katie had to guess his answers. Katie ended up with 14 right, not bad considering we've know eachother for 1 year. Later Ben was asked to guess which pair of legs was Katie's just by feeling them. The catch was he had to do it blindfolded. The bridal party, along with Sophie, were good sports about volunteering. Fortunately for Ben, he got it right.

We would like to thank Cindy, Peg, & our bridal party who helped make our shower so special. We extend a very special thank you to Gig, Ben's dad, for his expert packing abilities and his moral support at the shower. They really came in handy! We feel so lucky to have such a support system of great family & friends. We are looking forward to the celebrating with everybody at the wedding!

Lora is one of Katie's closest friends. Lora & Katie went to grammar school and ran high school track together.
Nicole Greco
Nicole is one of Katie's closest friends. Nicole and Katie worked together at Norridge Pool. She had an integral role in introducing Katie and Ben.
Ingrid Hanson-Tuntland
Ingrid is Ben's cousin. Ingrid was like a sister to Ben growing up.
Stefanie Lessentien
Stefanie is Mike's girlfriend. Over the years Stefanie has become a very close friend to Katie.

The Ceremony

Our Wedding Ceremony will take place at 3:00pm at Our Lady of Hope. Our Lady of Hope is where Ben was baptized, received his first communion, and was confirmed. Katie's brother-in-law Brian, who is a Pastor in the Lutheran Church, will participate in officiating the ceremony.

After the ceremony, guests may go to the hotel, the Four Points by Sheraton, to catch the shuttle to the reception. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel for guests while you wait for the reception to start.

A block of rooms have been reserved at the Four Points by Sheraton for our wedding guests. When you book your reservation mention that you are with the Bundalo-Brzezinski wedding and you will receive a special rate of $85. To ensure receiving our special rate reserve your room before July 11th.

There is a shuttle service available to our guests. The shuttle will depart from the hotel at 5:45 pm to take guests to the reception. At the end of the reception there will be a shuttle that will take guests back to the hotel. Any of our wedding guests are able to use the shuttle if they would like.

The Bachelorette Party

Both parties will be held on Friday July 3rd. Nicole Greco & Stef Lessentein, two of my bridesmaids, are putting the Bachelorette Party together. As the party approaches more information will be provided. In the meantime, get your party hat ready because it will sure be a wild night!
